My Story

For over 2 decades, I worked in medical pathology , but by far, the favourite aspect of my work was getting alongside people and hearing their stories and their struggles.

20 years ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to reassess my life direction.  A Meyers Briggs personality test revealed that I was perfectly suited to the healing professions. That was all I needed to motivate me to undertake further studies in psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, nutritional medicine and finally, naturopathy.  Now, I don’t work, I do what I love.

So now I am a naturopath and life coach. Experience has taught me that both are necessary to attain optimum health physically and to shine emotionally.

As a naturopath, I can investigate the root cause of your sense of unwellness and guide you along the path of restoring your body’s ability to function optimally by blending the latest science with common sense. Over the years I’ve learned that simple things like eating well and thinking well are most effective in restoring health, but, if necessary, I can delve deep to discover how your body is functioning using a range of functional pathology tests.  I can have a look at your diet and tailor a healthy eating program to suit your likes and your metabolism.

As a mindfulness coach, I can guide you on an inward journey to discover what is blocking your sense of peace, happiness and freedom and give you simple, practical tools and exercises to remove the blocks.

My Values & Beliefs

 Helping thousands of people to take charge of their health and happiness over nearly 2 decades has taught me that.

– The body is eminently intelligent and wants to heal … it is healing itself constantly but it needs the right resources for this to happen effectively. Addressing nutrient deficiency and toxic overload greatly aids the healing process.

–  Simple changes can produce profound results. Consistency is the key.

–  Food has a drug like effect on the body and can be used as a good drug or detrimental drug. Consistently eating good, whole, fresh, nutrient dense food provides good medicine. Consistently eating packaged, processed, nutrient deficient food has the opposite effect.

–  A life out of balance will create a body out of balance. Balance is a key ingredient for health and happiness. Living wisely is a key to good health.

–  Chronic stress is an important factor in poor health. Learning to manage stress effectively clears the path to better health and wellbeing. Simple mindfulness practices used consistently have a profound effect in managing stress.

–  People need guidance and encouragement to achieve their health goals.
